Animal-cruelty & meat recall

It’s enough to make this meat & taters kinda girl consider becoming vegetarian.

Have you seen the horrible video footage of what has been going on in this California slaughterhouse?  Not that anything that goes on there is really THAT humane, but com’on - shoving poor crippled cattle around with forklift?

I’d like to take a forklift and shove it up the rear of those who treated these poor animals so badly.

Here’s what I have to say to those who treated these poor animals so badly:

They say that children who show no emotion when it comes to killing animals are prone to grow up and become serial killers - what does it say about adults that treat animals this way?

PETA is looking better all the time.

That video had me in tears this morning! Awful, just awful. And I had similar thoughts about what on earth kind of person could actually treat another living animal like that!!! OMFG!!

Wow… That gave me the chills (and the creeps!). It’s true, though. We’re told to keep an eye out for kids who can stand watching (or inflicting) cruelty to animals but what about the adults walking around like it’s nothing?

I’m from Alberta and this is a huge beef-loving province. You won’t believe me but I gave up hamburger meat two years ago (haven’t been able to do it for steak and pot roast, though, lol) so I understand about being a meat and potatoes kind of woman and being absolutely turned off! This is horrible!

Love the picture, by the way, lol!!!!

Thanks for commenting. I’m glad I’m not the only meat and taters gal that’s having a hard time with this.

As for the graphic, I had that fun little image created about a year ago just for this kind of post and haven’t used it until now. I just love the artist and his work! He’s got so many fun little things like this that can be tweaked to a persons own character :)

I’m afraid to look at the video footage! :(

I won’t look at the video either. I haven’t eaten red meat or pork in over 15 years. Blah. Poor cows.

PS when I was pregnant, I wanted a big fat hamburger more than anything. I stuck to Boca, but man did I ever want one.

    Got something to say?
