And then there were three
It’s looking like the choice is going to come down to McCain, Obama and Clinton. Of the three, I’m going to have to say Hillary scares me least.
Something happened at the doctors office the other day that has me thinking that Hillary might be the best choice for me and my vote anyway.
Recently I wrote a rant about insurance companies and the way I keep paying out the nose but the bill never seems to go down.
During my last visit I took a bit of a poll of the office staff to make sure I had the best insurance for my family. So I asked around about insurance companies and which ones seem to be the least difficult for their customers and the doctors office. The response amazed me.
After listing a few insurance companies, I made the statement that I felt bad for older people who confuse much easier then I do and how they must be spending so much more to pay for health care.
Some of the staff agreed and stressed, the only other option anyone has at this point to get better healthcare was to vote for Hillary.
Staff members at a doctors office endorsing a political candidate carries quite a bit of clout as far as I’m concerned. They see the struggles the American people are enduring when it comes to healthcare. It’s not like they’re pulling a rabbit out of the hat or that they are depending on God to provide the best candidate - No offense Big Guy but you’ve got some whacked out followers down here who think all they have to do is vote and you’ll do the rest…
Well peeps, it’s time to stand up and do something for yourself for a change. God’s got a really big job to handle all his own and he did bless you with a brain to use in case of an emergency such as this. Use it already! Vote on the issues - vote with your fellow American’s in mind. Take care of your home first!
McCain is NOT the answer and America is NOT ready for Obama. That leaves us but one choice and one alone!
I guess I’m making it official - my vote WILL go to Hillary! But for the record I REALLY did like Mitt Romney!

Got something to say?

You just made Rush Limbaugh’s day! lol
That’s ok - If I had to choose between Hillary and Obama it would be Hillary. At first I thought it would be Obama but then I realized I was getting swept up with his words and didn’t reallly know enough about his actions to warrant my voting for him.
I am actually looking at the 3 of them and thinking I’m going to vote on who is the most conservative out of all 3. Gayla, you already know how high our property taxes are here in Nebraska. If they get any higher, I’m probably going to have to move out closer to you!
There are quite a few things I don’t like about McCain and his temper is one of them.. However, I have to look at their records and how liberal they are and pick the one that is the most conservative without being too far gone.
I might be voting McCain.
I’ve been known to change my mind - A LOT, so we’ll have to wait and see.
I will admit that I do get quite a thrill at the thought of a woman as President of the United States. Maybe she will instruct her husband to do a lot of traveling while he is in office and BUTT OUT.. that might make it better for me.
I think if you watch how she handles him now, you’ll see that he’s only doing the campaigning part and when he’s beside her, he’s letting her lead.
I’ve seen her get her digs in on him and I really believe she’s got ol’ billy boy on a very short leash these days.
I understand about the taxes - I’ve never heard of any as high as yours. But I don’t think McCain is the one to lower them. He’s just be more of the same which is more spending which leads to more paying and we’re the ones paying the bill.
It’s not right at all. We have to get our strength in the economy back or we’re just toast.
With your mention of the health insurance and the backing of the doctor’s office to vote for Hillary, what aspect of her plan do you see being realistic and something she’ll be able to change from the Executive Office? I’m all for open discussion about the issues, but I’m not convinced that the health issue is going to be solved by the President (whomever gets into office).
The idea that a socialized health plan to cover every American run by the U.S. Government scares me. Throw in the expense of such an endeavor and I don’t believe there are any ways to decrease Federal Government Spending to implement such a plan.
Cindy, that’s what the government wants you to think. I’ve got very dear friends who live where there is a national health care plan - even my mom lives under one and they are taken very well care of and it’s not costing the citizens much more at all. In fact, a fair tax would solve that issue - we could do away with the IRS, have a fair tax and healthcare - I see no reason why we couldn’t.
Now, I can’t say that I think Hillary would change the healthcare system while in office, but she sure wouldn’t break it more then it already is. To help build a better healthcare system, I believe we must first start with prevention measures.
Putting someone in office that will continue the senseless spending that’s being done under the current administration under the facade of national security and scare tactics will only drive us deeper in debt, more beholding to other countries, more vulnerable to terrorism and the value of our dollar further down the tubes.
We’ve got to get someone in there that’s going to put the breaks on spending and start looking in a direction that’s working quite well for other countries.
My mother lives in Canada - had to move there because AMERICA would not take care of her after being injured while working on a homeland security project. Canada is seeing to it that she gets quality care at NO great expense to her.
I think many are afraid of national health care because that’s what some politicians do - the lobbyists cushion their pockets to spread fear and keep people dependent on a system that’s sucking the life out of many American’s.
I urge you to go out, find people living in other countries and ask them about their health care - medical care and see what you uncover. I think you’ll find that it works quite nicely. I did my homework and checked it out at length and believe everyone should.
Didn’t Hillary write a book not too long ago? I’m actually thinking of purchasing it and making it my summer read. I’d like to see what she has to say about being married to a liar and a cheat. If birds of a feather don’t flock or stay together I would love to see how she handled that in her own married and how she expects to run the country with that ass-holio of a husband she’s married to. Maybe reading her book might get me to change my mind? We’ll see..
I honestly think you’re putting far too much emphasis on his cheating. Ronald Reagan did the same thing with Nancy while he was married to Jane. That didn’t make him any less able to do his job.
I was married to a cheat and a liar and I remained married to him for 5 years. I’m just glad people didn’t think I was like him just because I stayed married. There are sometimes more reasons to stay married then what’s on the surface.
I think that’s a good idea on the reading. I may have to pick that one up too.
We will have to disagree here, my friend. I have had my fill of government sponsored health care at the VA. It is slow, full of red tape, and generally sucky.
Hillary scares me. Obama scares me.
I am telling you..I am heading for a cave in Iceland to roast reindeer haunches over seabird droppings..call me in four years if the country is still around.
I liked Fred. liked ROn Paul to some extent because of his stance on the North American Alliance…I even liked Huckabee.
Voting in this election is definitly going to be me voting against who I think is the most dangerous.
I think they make regulated health care undesirable so that we’ll buy into the whole “it’s not the best” option.
I look around at the healthcare welfare recipients are getting - did you know many are getting Blue Cross coverage now? It’s FAR better then what we get and I’m paying out the nose for ours.
And what about senior citizens? When you or anyone you know becomes 65 - are you going to turn down medicare? It’s government regulated.
It seems to me the very poor or the older people are being taken care of nicely - it’s the middle class who continues to suffer.
I do agree - vets are treated like CRAP - the VA is not a good place for anyone to get healthcare - I think all the thugs on capital hill should at the very least, be helping the Vets get as good if not better coverage then they have.
For the record, I adored Ron Paul too! Huckebee? I had to like him - that’s my maiden name
NO relation though.
I believe in my heart of hearts though that McCain is going to continue the horrible spending spree that’s going to keep this nation in an absurd level of debt and will become even more difficult for middle class to live.
