Obama Race Speech – Colorful Lip Service
Of all the bloggers blogging on today’s Obama race speech, I believe Carol Platt Liebau at Townhall.com said it best:
Barack Obama attended Jeremiah Wright’s church for more than twenty years, was baptized by him, married by him and had his children baptized by him. For a long time, a person who damns America was an important part of the Obamas’ lives, and was not repudiated until it became politically necessary.
As for his comparison of Wright to Ferraro? That’s comparing apples to cows. Ferraro stated the importance of the "black" vote in her own choice words. She wasn’t damning America by any stretch of the imagination.
I believe the speech today was nothing more then lip service.
