Happy 4th

Just a note to say happy 4th all. I am taking a trip down memory lane today remembering how excited the 4th was when I was a little girl and when my kids were small.

I come from a family of six so therefore we did not travel much except to go to Kentucky for the holidays where my folks were from. July the 4th was extra special because there was always a fair in the little town where my grandmother lived. My sisters and brother and I always saved everything we could so that we could go to the fair and see the fireworks.

I always loved the fireworks when my kids were small they would get so wide eyed over and excited over them. After Gayla’s twins came along it was just as exciting.

Now that I live in Canada I miss the celebrations so would you all have a great time tonight and let me know what you did as a family.
