I Voted for Change and I’m Proud Of It

Published by Gayla at 6:29 pm under Politics

2008 is obviously a BIG year of change for me and this morning I continued that trend.

I cast my vote for change that’s important to me, issues I feel are most important and what my heart tells me is the right thing to do.

I truly don’t care how people vote, but if they wish to have an opinion that can be respected by fellow American’s they have to get out and vote. Otherwise to me, they have no right to celebrate OR complain.

election day

Some say voting is a private issue and that’s fine. Some will battle tooth and nail trying to sway voter opinion, that’s their choice – although it does tend to alienate many around you. I do believe voting is a personal and private matter and should be held as such for those who feel conviction to do so. However, in the last eight years – I have seen changes that I don’t like, don’t agree with felt lead to do my own, minute part to support change in the coming four (hopefully eight) years.

Yay, me too! I posted about my voting adventure on my mommy blog http://www.crazymomsjournal.com — took my 4yo with me and talked to her about it…it was fun! :)
