Why is Ted Haggard still making a name in the media?

Published by admin under Coffee Break

Evangelical pastor Ted Haggard described Thursday as "fundamentally true" an assertion that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 20-year-old male volunteer in 2006.
What is the difference between Haggard trying to dance around the fact that he had inappropriate relations with a man and former President Clinton dancing around the fact he did?
Fact [...]

Alzheimer patients and abuse

Published by Kim under Health

After reading about this study I wondered to myself how many people just did not admit they were abusive to their relative with dementia or Alzheimer.  My heart just wrenched when I thought about this.
I know how stressful life can be juggling all the things in one’s lives.  Kids, work, church events, family events, [...]

The first good thing George Bush did happened to be on his last day as President

Published by admin under Politics

Soon-to-be-former-and-rated-least-popular-President-in-U.S.-history George W. Bush finally granted early prison releases to two former U.S. Border Patrol agents whose convictions for shooting a Mexican drug dealer fueled the national debate over illegal immigration.

After attending a NAMI family to family education class I had literature that listed  identifying symptoms of pre-nervous breakdown or emotional breakdown.  BUT when [...]

I feel a pride in my country that I haven’t felt in 8 years. Yesterday I went to visit a friend that had been ill, with another [...]

Procrastination……..

Published by Kim under Health

Something that I am all too familiar with.  Something in my mind says" if you cannot get it done within the time you have to work with……just wait".  I battle this all the time.  I have read many books.  I have listened to many theories and can concur with most that the anxiety caused by [...]

Sleep, the luxury only the well-off can afford

Published by Kim under Health

I’m fully aware that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture . . . . . . . . But who can sleep with all the problems we have. If people are terrified about the future, they will not sleep. [...]

First Wall Street – then automakers and now public radio and public television?
What a nice legacy Dubya is leaving behind, huh? Even the grandchildren of our grandchildren will feel the impact of the Bush Tribulation. That’s what I’ve been calling the final term of George W. Bush. Pretty fitting don’cha think?
Heckofa way to [...]

Spinal Stenosis

Published by Jody under Coffee Break

I am going to have surgery soon for Spinal Stenosis. The type that I have includes bulging, herniated discs (Spondylolisthesis), which is the slipping of one of your vertebra onto another. When the slippage occurs it leads to compression.
I have researched Spinal Stenosis and read everything I can find on the surgery.
My health [...]
