Palin fans – Put a plug in it already

The election is over and Obama has an approval rate of over 10 points higher than any other President in recent history for this period in their term.

Obama is doing an amazing job – he’s keeping promises and as far as I’m concerned, he’s accomplishing much more than Bush did in his entire two terms and he’s only 30-something days into his term.

Deal with it!

This whole How Obama Got Elected is ridiculous. I consider myself to be an “average” American, proudly I might add, and I took the time to watch a couple of video’s that are shown on this particular website. I just don’t get what the big deal is with Joe Biden saying, before the election, that if Obama gets elected there would be a crisis early on in his term?

Wake up people!

First, it was a presumptive comment and the last time I checked, Joe Biden was not some well known psychic – but rather a red-blooded American who was verbalizing what most Americans – and heck, half the world were thinking. Nothing more. I just don’t think it was some sort of Palin smear.

Second, the economy IS a crisis in case you haven’t noticed. How hard was that to predict?

Don’t get me wrong, I like Palin – I think she’s a great person, a great mother – however, I was in no way shape or form prepared to cast my vote on an ancient, dried up, decrepit soul who should be looking to retire and play shuffleboard someplace warm and a majorly inexperienced PTA Soccer mom to lead my country through this horrible economical time that a member of their party left us with.

Don’t blame the media. The media was just as biased in the opposing direction depending on what channel you happened to be watching. It just happens that the most popular stations got behind the candidate that won. That’s all!

This was a campaign! Campaigns get nasty and if Palin were a solid leader that truly believed in her own abilities – she would speak out against this lame effort to demean our President. I’d like to think she has a thicker skin and that she’s not behind this effort. I’d personally find it most admirable and noble if she were to speak out against it and attempt to halt it. Stop the whining about losing and focus on the future. It is what it is, period.

If she is thinking of running in 2012 – she should set up a Facebook, a Twitter, a MySpace and take advantage of any other social networking option that will get her in touch with the American people.

I believe it was the fact that Obama was very public about his use of his Blackberry and his being open to take his campaign on the net that won – the fact that Obama was out there among the little people – he shot hoops with kids, he hugged the homeless, he humbled himself to the voters. Following the disaster that Bush created and was leaving behind during his term, the middle class, lower middle class, poor and unemployed votes are the ones that mattered most.

When you find yourself hungry and unemployed, a politicians stance on the abortion issue doesn’t mean jack!

Read MY Lips – Better luck next time.

Now, in all fairness – just as soon as I have an opportunity to BORROW the DVD or rent it from the library, I will watch it and give my opinion again – but I certainly won’t be buying it. I’ve got better things to do with my money. I just can’t believe given as difficult as our times are – that something like this would actually be selling. What’s it going to prove, what’s it going to accomplish? Nothing – the time, energy and money would be much better spent looking forward, not back.
