Proud To Be American
The Obama’s have made a hit around the world. While watching the crowds and their enthusiasm for the Obama’s, it gives me pride in my country that I have not felt in years.
When I hear conversations about the US here in Canada, the people are excited to see someone in power that actually cares for the working men and women.
When you hear the cable news such as CNN and FOX, they seem critical of everything that the president does. I found myself getting caught up in the depressing news, so I do not watch them as often. My daughter said “mom he has only been in office for less than 100 days, give him a chance.”
Bush just about destroyed our country in 8 years, so maybe we all need to take a step back and give Obama a chance.
I can’t believe that the Republican Party has the nerve to criticize Obama and come up with a budget of their own when they helped Bush to put the US so far in debt.
I enjoy watching the reception that Michelle and Barack get, at each of their European stops.
The tour brings to mind the reception for First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on her husband’s 1961 European trip, which prompted President Kennedy to introduce himself as "the man who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris."
For more information, President Obama .
