Should Miss California Apologize?
This may come as a surprise to everyone who knows me – but I don’t think Carrie Prejean aka Miss California should be expected to apologize for her beliefs.
I’m not the biggest fan of Perez Hilton – but it’s not because he’s gay – it’s because he has been known to lift content from others who bust their asses gathering breaking news and slaps his white splotches on the pics to call them his own.
As an American – I am entitled to believe what I want to believe and if someone is not prepared to hear the answer to their question – then the question should not be asked.
I think Perez asked his question with malicious intent and he accomplished just what he intended – chaos.
Now on the flipside of that coin – I think Miss California would have been smart to take the position that some topics are personal as are some opinions and that her position on that topic was nunuvhisdamnbizness.
Just sayin!
So what do you think? Apologize or not?
In case you missed it – When asked about her position on gay marriage – Carrie Prejean responded with:
"Well, I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or another. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And, you know what? In my country and in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think that it should be – between a man and a woman. Thank you!"
