Should Schools Have Uniforms?

There’s been a great deal of talk around my kids school, of having uniforms in the near future.

While I know lots of people don’t support the idea – claiming it tramples students’ right of expression and parents’ right to raise children without government interference - I am personally very keen to the idea.

Don’t you think there are lots of other ways that kids can express themselves?

God knows I’d love to get rid of those baggy butted pa

nts the boys are wearing and raise the necklines of the tops the girls are wearing.

So what do you think?

I’m all for school uniforms. I’m appalled at the way parents allow their children (especially their girls) to dress. I certainly wouldn’t want a boy looking at my daughter in that way. It would also avoid these issues with kids wearing these expensive name brands. All kids are wearing the same thing and so the fashion show is over.

I do think that uniforms aren’t necessary for elementary school. Most girls don’t start showing their stuff until middle school. Again, I just don’t get it!
