Madoff Received Sentencing
Well it seems as though there is still some justice in our world and a Judge that is not afraid to give a man a sentence he deserves.
I for one was beginning to believe that if you were rich, in sports or a politician you could get away with anything.
For years it would seem as though the law protected the perpetrator instead of those that had been harmed in some way.
With all the pain and devastation that Madoff caused, I cannot believe that he thought that he could get off with 10 years. When he apologized to those who he had made suffer because of his greed, it fell on deaf ears I am sure.
Thank God for Judge Denny Chin.
Chin, who called Madoff’s crimes "extraordinarily evil," said the maximum sentence was important for deterrence, and also for the victims, many of whom erupted into applause after the judge announced the sentence. Many hugged and some of them broke down in tears.
