Not Before Coffee

When you get to be a certain age the doctor wants you to have a check up once a year, which I did last week. Yesterday I received a call from his office telling me I needed to come in to discuss the results of some tests. You know how this goes; nurse could tell me nothing about these tests over the phone.

Well the old mind went into overdrive I had back surgery 10 months ago and I was off my feet for most of the year before, the old body had seemed to balloon over night. Really I woke up one morning and looked into the mirror to discover that someone had stolen my head and placed it on some old ladies chubby body. So when the doctor’s office called I knew that it was something to do with the chubby body.

To make a long story short, when I got to the doctor’s office, I was actually relived to hear that I just had (high  cholesterol), this I can deal with.

Oh yes he did not buy the part about my head showing up on some chubby little ladies body. I now have to walk and exercise more while watching my diet.

The person that called life after 50 “ Your Golden Years” had to have a sense of humor, but I am not laughing.
