Facebook Hit with FTC Complaint
A group that advocates Internet privacy have gotten a bit of a red ass and filed a a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission over Facebook’s decision to open more of its members’ information to public view unless they actively take steps to limit their data’s exposure.
Personally I don’t see what the big deal is. Within hours of this decision, I received notice from friends that included details on how I could limit my own profile exposure.
What’s wrong with people taking responsibility for their own accounts and profiles?
Why does it seem that everything on earth is someone else’s responsibility?
Personally I think this is just a bit over the edge. After all, Facebook is a FREE service people – you can’t expect them to babysit your profile when you don’t pay a dime to be there.
