Adventures in Steak n Shake
Yesterday my kids and I took our happy little coupons to our local Steak n Shake for a nice lunch.
Upon arrival, we noticed the place as packed with others who had the similar though apparently.
We were seated just before our waitress stopped to get our drink order. As she approached the table.
Waitress: “Are the two kids behind you with you too?”
Me: “nope, the two here are plenty, thanks.”
Waitress: “You mean you don’t want to claim the kids in the Saints jerseys?”
Me: “Nope and honestly I hadn’t noticed.”
We both got a laugh because obviously we knew their intent was to gain attention since they were sitting in the heart of Colts Country!
We placed our order and were told the kids shakes would be a while, the machine was processing and shakes were backed up.
No biggie! We’d take them with us if we had to.
As we sat eating our meal, I was subjected to two little twits running their mouths as if the shakes were backed up entirely because of them wearing Saints shirts and hats. Of course the 15-something-year-olds had to drop the F-Bomb about 20 times to make them appear 12 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier.
WhatEvah!
When the shakes arrived, I took notice that the waitress placed the punks shakes in “To Go” cups while my kids got glasses. Hmmm! Wonder why?
She apologized again for the delay.
Me: “That’s perfectly fine, no big deal really. Although I am VERY glad these two finally got theirs!” while pointing at the punks behind us.
A few minutes later – an adult came in to get the kids as we listened to them explaining to this adult of just how horrible the service was entirely because of their Saints wear.
I SWEAR teenagers have more drama then daytime television!
