Watching Traci Nobles on Today. This is completely repulsive.

She knew Wiener was married – but claims they never went into personal discussions.

Traci acts as though she was at least respectful of Huma in that way.

She says no regrets

She won’t offer up an apology “it is what it is.”

When asked what she would say to his wife – she said she doesn’t like to think about that. She was flattered at the time.

When asked if she was embarrassed, she said she didn’t regret it.

Women like this make me ill!

She went on to state she wants the world to know she’s a good person?!?!

Good “Christian” people don’t engage in activities with the spouses of other people in a way they KNOW God would disapprove.

Huma should take him to the cleaners!

tithe TV preachers with their McMansion style churches and homes, raking in millions of dollars every single year get under my skin. I’ve been very vocal about my personal distaste in plastic Christians and greedy preachers.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve watched ministers like Jim Bakker and Kenneth Copeland pass the plate and hold out their televised hand urging faithful Christians to tithe generously in exchange for God answering their prayers and bringing them prosperity.

Some of these ministers are living as if they are participating in a Nickelback video with their private jets, massive homes times 3, 4 and 5. They’re driving ultra expensive cars, taking elaborate vacations, all while some of the most impoverished, yet loyal, Christians are sending them the last dime they possibly can.

A couple of days ago, Inside Edition’s Lisa Guerrero caught up with one of the wealthiest Bible thumpers, Creflo Dollar, and put them on the spot asking, “How do you justify your million dollar mansions and private jets to your donors?” He of course had ‘no comment.’

My personal favorite portion of the segment was when Lisa caught up with Kenneth Copeland.

Did you know Copeland lives in an 18,000 square foot home outside Ft. Worth, Texas that’s valued at $6 million? And that he has a $20 million Cessna Citation jet, that happens to be the fastest private jet on the market? According to Copeland, he “needed it to better serve the Lord.” To show his appreciation, Copeland did a fly by for his flock of followers after church.

Isn’t that special?

As if that weren’t enough to raise my blood pressure to stroke levels, it was then disclosed that Copeland has an entire fleet of planes registered to the church and has The Kenneth Copeland Airport situated right next to his personal Copeland Palace.

Greed Greed Greed – Barf!

Apparently televangelism is a $2 to $3 BILLION industry that’s going untaxed, unregulated.

That’s just gross!

The segment goes on to mention Kristi Parker who, after the death of her mother, found diaries that revealed her mother had sent most of her life savings to Copeland hoping somehow those donations would help save her from the cancer that was claiming her life.

How, can a man who claims to be a man of the cloth, a man working in the service of God, do this to people and sleep at night?

Reading The Sociopath Next Door is actually helping me understand the HOW part – in 200 watt neon!

Several televangelists were subject to a Senate investigation. By law religious groups are exempt from federal taxes. They don’t have to report how much they take in and they don’t have to report how they spend it. Not to anyone!

That’s wrong! So wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

Of the evangelists being investigated by the Senate committee, the televangelists who did not provide full information included Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Bishop Eddie Long, Creflo and Taffi Dollar, and Randy and Paula White. Joyce Meyer, based in Missouri and Benny Hinn, based in California — told investigators that they have made changes in how they govern their ministries or set compensation.

Good for them!

I encourage you to take 4 minutes to watch the clip on this Inside Edition investigation and share your thoughts.

Personally, I believe the times of religious groups being exempt from taxes needs to come to an end. It makes sense if times were like they used to be, when churches actually ran hospitals, ran homeless shelters or took care of communities – but those days are gone.

These mega churches disgust me – we have homeless people needing shelter. We have American’s who are victims of natural disasters needing assistance, we have people who have lost their jobs, churches should be helping people, not building golden temples of worship.

Jezebel.comAccording to this ad, which was recently spotted in New York City, a man can get a discount at Hooters if he has a wife (who may or may not know that he enjoys his hot wings served with a side of female objectification).

Gothamist has confirmed that the promotion, which was inspired by the upcoming film Hall Pass, isn’t a hoax, but Hooters is a bit hazy on the official rules and regulations. According to one assistant manager who wishes he never answered Gothamist’s call, they’ll be confirming that men are married based on, “The honor system, I guess … Show us a wedding band.” As for how the ring will show what “reward” level the husband deserves, he explains, “Well, if you say you’ve been married 30 years, we’ll be able to tell if you’re old enough for that to be true.”

And then men wonder why women are so critical – why so many struggle with self-image issues – Ironically, in the same timeframe as this bullshit Hooters promotion builds buzz in the media, an eye-opening, yet disturbing survey results are released by Glamour.

The Glamour magazine article said, “On average, women have 13 negative body thoughts daily—nearly one for every waking hour. And a disturbing number of women confess to having 35, 50, or even 100 hateful thoughts about their own shapes each day.” The article went on to say, “In a University of Central Florida study of three- to six-year-old girls, nearly half were already worried about being fat—and roughly a third said they wanted to change something about their body.”

Doesn’t it just seem like women are being objectified more and more? Doesn’t it seem like more and more sex is selling?

This is an ongoing beef I have – when I see 10-year-old girls changing their profile picture on Facebook to Snooki! First of all, why the EFF does a 10-year-old have a Facebook anyway? But further, she wants to be and act like Snooki?

What happened to Hopscotch? What happened to jump rope, tag and playing with dolls?

Our kids are growing up WAY beyond their years and to realize that THREE to SIX year old girls are worrying about being FAT?

PuLease!

This is a CONSTANT battle in my house – I happen to live on Lake Testosterone and feel like I’m a lost soul in the midst of a guys locker room sometimes. With the banter about how hot a girl is on television or how the world just wants to pick on Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian?!?!

Really?

For much of my adult life, I’ve considered myself to be somewhat confident. Naturally there are things I do struggle with at times, and the fact that I’d fit in nicely with that group of women who think negative thoughts about their bodies some 13 times per day – it would be nice if the men I’m surrounded by would recognize the genuine, inner beauty.

It’s hard enough being a woman in today’s world. We don’t need the likes of Hooters and Ashley Madison making it even more difficult to participate in a happy, healthy and secure relationship. Sometimes I think even the most secure relationship can be challenged by the smut and sluts we have these days.

/ end rant

The parents that reported Carlie Christine (aka Carlie Beck) was on Today this morning. Heather and Scott Geneilla was called on the carpet for the possibility that she exposed Carlie as part of a vengeance scheme.

The dad said “This is a leader of young women” as if he is a saint who didn’t get a bit of a thrill checking out the photos.

Their daughter Adelle Geneilla was not allowed to try out for the cheer team because of a rules violation. So the mom decided to show that the cheer coach was violating rules too by having posed for Playboy in a former life prior to her coaching. When did two wrongs start making a right?

It was a bit more than obvious to me that the mom is a bit of a bee-yoch that wants her daughter to be on the cheer squad at any cost – especially when she didn’t want to lose control over the conversation with Matt Lauer.

Can we say OB-VEE-OUS?

The daughter claims she was disappointed and had morals that were not in line with those of her coach.

Right!?!?!

Seriously though – I understand the cheer coach made a mistake – but I can see where this could have been handled in a way that is much more beneficial to our youth if handled properly. Coming on the attack of the coach is not going to get anywhere – obviously. Carlie is developing quite the following of fans!

I have to admit, I’m kinda sorta glad the vindictive manner in which the Geneilla’s have handled this situation is blowing up in their faces.

Am I off kilter here?
