When it’s White it’s Racism When it’s Black it’s…
Andrew Sullivan has pointed out - like SO many others, that some comments made by the Hillary Clinton camp are considered racist.
“I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article “that found how Sen. Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.”
So why is it that when the Obama camp boasts about taking in 92% of the Afro-American vote - nothing is said except maybe umm “congrats”?
Let’s face it! There is a tremendous racial divide in this election! There is a tremendous gender based divide in this election and if you’re going to call one racist, you must call BOTH racist!
That’s like saying it’s ok for gangsta rappers to say the N word but not a white rapper.
- If people want to be created equal they must first begin acting as an equal.
- Lead by example - don’t demand change if you only plan to follow.
And if you don’t want to act equal or lead by example… This one’s for you!
What’s so bad about universal healthcare?
Call me stupid. Call me blond. Call me politically challenged or whatever you prefer - but I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s so wrong with the idea of having a government ran healthcare.
Isn’t medicaid and medicare government ran?
Don’t our government officials have healthcare that’s overseen by the federal employees?
If it’s easy enough to provide healthcare to the very poor, the older people and the government employees - what’s so wrong with providing it to every U.S. citizen?
Or is it just the fear of pissing off lobbyists and losing that extra bit of income from our government officials pimping themselves out?
I just don’t get it!
Take Your Health Insurance Card and Shove It
That’s ‘kinda’ what I had to tell Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield yesterday. My husband and I had just returned from the doctors office where we had suffered quite an embarrassing ordeal.
As of April 1, our insurance was supposed to cover my husbands pre-existing condition, bipolar. We got to the window expecting to pay our co-pay only to be called out for a whopping $270 bill because our insurance had declined payment saying we had met our maximum allowance for the year.
It’s MAY for crying out loud! How could this be?
I told the girl if that’s the case, I had paid my maximum premium for the year.
We’ve been paying $304 per month plus all the tests and medications for this ‘pre-existing’ condition, looking forward to the day when it would be covered - this according to their letter giving us a date when the restriction would be lifted.
When I phoned the Anthem, they told me there had been a change in my policy and that I was told there could be a change without notice. Apparently we are limited to TWO office visits a year now. I proceeded to ask “what would happen if we paid the office call, what would be covered then?”
The rep told me they would pay 80% of anything over $2000 deductible per person per year.
After doing the quick math in my head…calculating the tests, premium, office calls and medications, I realized I was going to be paying out $10,000 before that insurance would actually cover much of anything.
I told the girl I wanted my coverage canceled and my payment they had JUST cashed to be refunded.
We’ve now returned to take our place among the millions of other American’s who are Uninsured because we can’t afford to keep insurance coverage. And to be honest, it’s a lot nicer here! Less headaches and I figure if something happens that results in thousands of dollars in medical bills, I’ll just do what most people are being forced to do and file bankruptcy.

Selling Family Heirlooms To Pay For Gas
Take a quick browse of Craigslist and auction sites and you’ll see ads like the one from the teenager in Georgia who said her mother lost her job and pleaded, “Please buy anything you can to help out.”
BUT We are NOT in a recession people! We’re in a SLOW DOWN!

For the first time in my life, I’ve began looking around my home to see what might be disposable for helping bring money into the household to help pay the bills.
Gas prices are going UP UP UP along with food prices. People aren’t going to be able to live before long and President Bush can’t bring himself to admit it? He may go down in history as the WORST President EVER - but he won’t go down as a President that left the country in a recession when he departed The White House.
Stimulous - Schimulous - that’s going to help pay for a weeks worth of groceries and a few tanks of gas around here.
How are these times effecting you and your family?
We’ve begun shopping for groceries we can afford - not so much what we want or what sounds good and have started doing a LOT less activities away from home. Thankfully I work from home so the actual gas prices won’t effect me too much - but the snowball effect will.

Open letter to the spoiled little rudea$$ in the waiting room
Dear spoiled little rudeass in the urgent care waiting room,
On Saturday it took all I had to drag myself out of bed and to the urgent care clinic. I’d finally gotten so sick, I was willing to pay the money to see a doctor in hopes of finding what was wrong with me.
As I sat in the waiting room, your mother and you walk in, sign in and sit a couple of rows over from me. You appeared to be of college age, so what happened completely floored me. I watched in shock as you plopped your feet up on the chair across from you as if no one would ever need to sit in that seat again and if they did, they wouldn’t mind a little dirt on their behind as long as you were comfortable while waiting with the rest of us. You then kick back to read the paper.
Obviously no one has taken much interest in teaching you proper manners, because I watched as you coughed SEVERAL times with absolutely NO attempt at covering your mouth.
I wonder what would happen if the nurses took the time to have that BIG YELLOW sign that hangs right next to where you sign in plastered on each and every chair in that waiting room? It’s really a very nice sign that describes HOW one should cover their cough, WITH pictures for those like you, who made it to college as such a privileged child that they can’t be bothered to stop and actually READ such trivial signs.
Had my throat not been so very sore and had I thought it would have made a difference, I would have called you out on your pathetic behavior.
Consider yourself warned. If you visit the doctors office and have a cough, you might want to cover that puppy up - because the person sitting across from you might not be as sick or kind as I was to look the other way even once.
The real cost of Tomatoes

As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:
I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.
Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking a glass of milk and roll — but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)
I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school al so provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for baby sitters or having family watch their kids. I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them “Putas” whores and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?
To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.
Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc, etc. For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.
We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?
There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and legal way.
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “politically correctness” that we don’t have the will to do anything about it.
CHEAP LABOR? Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about?
Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage.
Consumers don’t want expensive produce.
Government will tell you Americans don’t want the jobs.
But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.”
Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200 free.
He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.
He qualifies for food stamps.
He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.
His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.
He requires bilingual teachers and books.
He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.
If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) taxpayer’s expense.
He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.
Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.
He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.
Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his.
The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.
Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT! Wake up people!
Regardless of who you are - by political party, religion, gender or race, how can you not see the impact illegal immigrants have on the U.S.?

Hasn’t it become obvious that frivolous lawsuits are becoming all too common?
Why is it so wrong for a website that caters to people looking for potential roommates to ask questions about sexual preference, gender, religion, etc.
Roommates are a huge part of a persons life. So WHAT if a person wants a roommate they have something in common with? What’s so wrong about asking?
What’s next? People won’t be able to ask for gender, race, religion or sexual preference on a Dating site?

Obama and the Racist Minister
Given the fact that life around our house is always so hustled, I hadn’t caught the mention of the controversial and racist minister on the news. There’s not a day that goes by that my mother doesn’t give me the rundown of top news on CNN and this happened to be one that I made mental note to check out when I had a moment to myself.
Now, I’m thinking if I were a senator who was even entertaining dreams of running for President one day, I would make it clear to those around me that they should act accordingly or I would distance myself from them and not give the people the impression that I believe the same way - even if the person does act like a crazy old uncle.
If this minister has been delivering racist sermons since 2003 - you can bet he’s been delivering them a lot longer and Obama made the choice to associate himself with the church, the minister and the congregation. That to me means that he has to support the teachings to some degree.
In a 2003 sermon, Wright said of America’s treatment of African-Americans: "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people."God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."
At one December service, Wright argued Clinton’s road to the White House is considerably easier than Obama’s because of his skin color.
"Hillary was not a black boy raised in a single parent home. Barack was," Wright says in a video of the sermon posted on YouTube. "Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary! Hillary ain’t never been called a ‘nigger!’ Hillary has never had her people defined as a non-person."
Barak Obama has a 20 year history with Jeremiah Wright - personally I refuse to call him a paster or a man of the cloth because he’s doing little more then spewing hate and furthering his own cause on the shirt tales of Obama pandering racism. He’s no better then Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as far as I’m concerned.
I think this should speak volumes to the voters in America. Is this really the type of person we want running our county? The type who follows a clergy with such miserable teachings?
It’s really something to think about! It’s things like this that are making this election all the more scary and every single vote all the more important.
With that said, I dedicate this Flippin’ It post to Jeremiah Wright for being such a hypocrite hiding behind the cloth.
Hillary ad drama - Who really cares?
Does anyone really give a rats red behind that the little girl in a recent Hillary Clinton ad is now an 18-year-old Obama supporter?
Personally I think if she and her family didn’t want her image being used in a way she would not support, they should have never sold it as stock imagery to Getty in the first place.
Casey Knowles didn’t much like a recent campaign commercial for Hillary Clinton - even though she’s in it as a sleeping 8-year-old.
After all, she about to turn 18 now and is a big supporter of Barack Obama.
Knowles said she didn’t see the ad until Jon Stewart lampooned it Thursday on "The Daily Show." Her brother noticed it was her, and the family replayed the commercial on their digital recorder to be sure.
"They were parodying this ad, kind of poking fun at it," Knowles said. "My brother was like, Is that Casey?’ And we just erupted. Sure enough, it’s me."
The file footage was originally shot for a railroad company advertisement. The Clinton campaign bought it from Getty Images.
Now it seems the Obama campaign has contacted Knowles and she very well could be appearing in an upcoming ad for the other team.
Lastly, because of the ruckus this has caused, I think Knowles should have to reimburse the Clinton campaign for money they invested in an image that has caused such a fuss.
When you sell out yourself as a model in any way, you don’t always get to choose where your image is being used. Deal with it! And put a cork in it.
President Bush and his $41.8 Million Pat on the Back
The Internal Revenue Service is spending a huge amount of money to send letters to taxpayers letting them know their check ‘is in the mail’ or at least it will be once they file their taxes. It’s all part of this economic stimulus plan our current administration has dreamed up.
The notices are going out this month to an estimated 130 million households who filed returns for the 2006 tax year, at a cost $41.8 million, IRS spokesman John Lipold confirmed.
That works out to about 32 cents to print, process and mail each letter. It doesn’t include the tab for another round of mailings planned for those who didn’t file tax returns last year but may still qualify for a rebate.
“There are countless better uses for $42 million than a self-congratulatory mailer that gives the president a pat on the back for an idea that wasn’t even his,” Sen. Charles Schumer said Friday, arguing the IRS could more effectively spend the money to catch tax cheats.
Do Bush supporters have any idea how long this is going to take our taxpayers to repay this debt?
Does anyone realize that this type of insane spending is going to make ANY man OR woman coming into the White House look incompetent most of their term? That is of course unless your name is John McCain and then it’s likely that you’ll inherit the bottomless checkbook and spending authorization rather than the debt and accountability.
I still just don’t get why so many people are hung up on what Bill Clinton did. What this administration is doing is damaging our people, our economy and the future of our kids. What Clinton did was immoral and in poor judgement, but we’re not still paying for his mistake - many are just carrying a grudge which doesn’t cost a thing.
