Obama’s Six Degrees Scares the Hell Out of Me
Barack Obama’s longtime minister, mentor, and sounding board has been a key supporter of Louis Farrakhan and last month honored the Nation of Islam leader for lifetime achievement.
Farrakhan has repeatedly made hate-filled statements targeting Jews, whites, America, and homosexuals. He has called whites “blue-eyed devils” and the “anti-Christ.” He has described Jews as “bloodsuckers” who control the government, the media, and some black organizations.
“Do you know some of these satanic Jews have taken over BET [the Black Entertainment Network]?” Farrakhan said in a speech on Nov. 11, 2007. “Everything that we built, they have. The mind of Satan now is running the record industry, movie industry, and television. And they make us look like we’re the murderers; we look like we’re the gangsters, but we’re punk stuff.”
The month after that speech, Obama’s minister and friend, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. and his Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, honored Farrakhan at a gala, bestowing on him its Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteer award. Continue reading…

From early in life, we try to teach our kids that when you run with the wrong crowd, most times you’ll be considered a part of that crowd — even if you don’t agree with or participate in many of the things they do.
Given the LONG history of Obama with Jeremiah Wright - doesn’t it seem funny that a politician with an eye on the White House would not take the time to remove himself from such harmful situations?
When you lay down with the pigs you come up smelling like them.
I’m not sure there’s enough substance in the public denouncements to make me believe Obama still isn’t in thick with the likes of Wright and even more terrifying, the likes of Farrakhan.
Kansas Baptist Church Intends to Picket Heath Ledger’s Funeral
Westboro Baptist Church, a radical Baptist church in Kansas known for picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers who served in Iraq has publicized intent to protest Heath Ledger’s memorial service claiming the actor died and is in Hell because he played a gay character in “Brokeback Mountain.”
One of the biggest reasons I stopped attending and practice my faith in a way I believe ‘my God’ would have me practice.
How terribly disturbing that people can conduct themselves in such horrific ways in the name of Christ.
It makes me very ashamed of so many that call themselves Christian.

Preacher’s Wives
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that some of the most insulting, self-centered women on the planet are found to be preacher’s wives?
What’s up with that?
There have been many times over my years in the workforce that I have encountered a preacher’s wife who feels that I am subservient and souly at HER service. She speaks in a tone that makes a person feel like a slave to her command and when you defy her command she treats you as a leper or some poor redheaded stepchild she’d rather take out behind the woodshed for a lashing or two.
Do these women (and I generalize here as and should state for the record that I am sure not ALL preachers wives fall in this category, but I’ve yet to find one) actually believe they have a one way ticket through the pearly gates just because their husband stands in the pulpit once or twice a week?
I’ve always heard the worst behaved children are preachers kids, but I am beginning to realize the poor mans entire families are skating through on his Sunday suit tails.
And just for the record, just because Tammy Faye did it doesn’t make it a standard trend for all preachers wives to wear three foot fake eyelashes that weight their eyes closed or the high rise hairdo that’s likely to gain sponsorship from Aqua Shield errr Aqua Net hairspray. Give up the plastic exterior, God’s going to know who you are with or without the make-up.
