The first time I met Greg Pence was in August, 2017. Since that time, I have met, and spoken with him several times; each one as pleasant as the time before. Being an ex-Democrat, and after so many years of believing the deceptions of the left, I am a skeptic when it comes to politics. It’s safe to say that I take my vote too serious at times. Over the last eight months, I have grown to respect Greg as a person, but I had not been where I could hear him speak about his beliefs, ideas and politics. That’s an absolute MUST, before I will commit my vote.
This evening, I got that chance. Our local GOP hosted Pence for a short meet-and-greet. Upon his arrival, he walked in with his daughter Nicole. She had been an anchor on our local station Fox59 before she left new to be stay-at-home-mom to her three boys. As if I needed more reason to adore Nicole, she is a twin mom too!
Last month after attending the local Lincoln Day Dinner, I tagged Nicole in this photo of her dad and one of my twins, Trey. I wanted her to know how much I enjoyed that her dad took the time to speak to my son. It was simple chit-chat, but it was REAL! I stood back and watched as they talked. Both seemed to enjoy their conversation about everything BUT politics. That moment left a huge impression on this mom!
I searched the Internet high-and-low to find video footage of Greg speaking OR debating. I didn’t find much of anything. I admit, I was concerned. So when I saw the invitation to attend this event, I knew I had to go. I had to decide, one way or the other, if I could cast my vote for this man. Could I trust him with future of my children and grandchildren?
THAT is what I HAD to know.
Before I left the house, I grabbed a notebook and wrote down a handful of questions. After Greg spoke and answered questions, I realized my questions weren't necessary. He answered every single one without my asking. That told me he KNEW what was important to the average mom!
When Greg and Nicole were ready to leave, I walked out with them. I told Greg I really needed to hear him speak, and thanks to that meet-and-greet, I felt very comfortable in casting my vote for him. He spoke with confidence, he answered intelligently, and he has some great ideas when it comes to veteran’s, school safety, and most importantly, he fully supports the Trump agenda!
There was a time that I thought he was running on the Pence name alone. That's not the case!
Greg is a very nice, very likable man, and he has a deep passion for his local community, our state, and our future.
It with sincere relief and confidence that I personally and wholeheartedly endorse Greg Pence for Congress.
UPDATE: After the Henry County Meet-and-Greet, I attended the Decatur County Lincoln Day Dinner. It was there that Greg introduced me to his wife, Denise. Denise is such a beautiful, kind lady with the sweetest spirit spirit. She is an adoring wife, mother, and grandmother – and the lady knows her antiques! Just one more plus in a stack of many for my favorite Pence family.
I KNOW in my heart that Greg has a wonderful family as his compass to guide his policies and decision-making. When he loves his family as much as he does, I know my family is in great, capable hands.
