There’s nothing like waking up to a nice cup of coffee and pondering your “to do” list that involves many tasks that need to be completed outside – all while watching it pour rain in buckets from the skies.
But, every cloud does have a silver lining – no?
Today’s silver lining includes – clean sheet day (washing the germs away) and some quality television viewing time with a sick kiddo.
At first I was a bit frustrated because I’m the type of person who likes to pack in two days – move in one and unpack in two days.
We don’t always get what we want! I know! Lesson learned already.
But when I sat back looking at my 6’4” sick baby – I realized there are not too many times that he’s going to need his mom to take care of him and there’s certainly not going to be many more opportunities to hang out with him and watch television – just for the sake of hanging out.
Granted – it sucks that he has to be sick, nauseous and with fever to do so – but still, I’ll take what I can get for now.
Packing can wait. Moving can wait. Cobwebs can wait. Today – I’m spending time with my son.
