My name has shown up on some Henry County list as a supporter of wind farms. I want to know HOW that happened, and WHO thought they could add me without my permission. I have NEVER supported those disgusting eyesores and don't have one ounce of respect for anyone who does support them.
The one thing I find FASCINATING about this list of sellouts is that on a quick scan, NOT ONE of them is putting one of those monstrosities in their own back yard but BY GOD they're putting them in the back yards of the people they call friend, family and neighbor? What does that tell you?
After reading the book Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, And Line Their Own Pockets by Peter Schweizer, I look at every politician and cause in a whole new light. I don't think it's the wind farms buying off the politicians; I think it's the politicians extorting money from the wind farms. The bankrolls are probably very thick for politicians on both ends of the wind farm battle.
Think about it… I'm sure companies don't just call up politicians for no good reason and say “please let me throw thousands of dollars in your pocket just because I like you so much!” Smooches! xox
NO! Politicians are making them WANT to throw money at them! It's a legal form of bribery! If donors don't donate, donors don't get favors. Donors don't get regulations stalled.
NOW, I usually AM NOT a single-issue voter, and on a federal level, I will continue to hold that position. However, when it comes to Henry County, I am forced to take a single-issue stance because I refuse to accept those blasted wind turbines. I don't want them destroying our beautiful landscapes and scenery, and I don't want anything else interfering with our wildlife. I’m sure Steve and Bobbi are wonderful people and from what a close friend has told me, they have a lot to offer – honestly, that doesn’t matter to me right now because all I want is to have good, conservatives in our corner and to replace the old talking heads from the Good Old Boys Club of Henry County.
Time to kick the boys to the curb, Yano?
And while you’re here, and planning your Henry County vote, don’t forget I’m on your ballot too! I’m a little peon way down the page so in that voting booth, keep scrolling, you’ll find me.

Can’t speak to the political side of wind farms. I am however concerned about the reality of changing weather conditions due to wind farms. Winds that blazed their way across whatever part of the country where they are installed, are now hindered. Some winds are starting to look like like dammed rivers that are drying up.
We ‘discover’ a new toy, and we won’t quit playing with it until we ruin the environment it is in. When will we learn?
